Wanda Lanigan, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CCM, CCCTM
Each one of us has experiences, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that influences who we are. We are a product of all of this and our relationships. My goal is to provide you care through psychoeducational, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy. I prefer an integrated, holistic approach to each client, considering who you are and how we can support you to live your most fulfilled life.
I have a long distinguished career as a nurse of 24 years. After graduating from Rivier College in Nashua, NH, in 1998, I went on to diverse experiences working in various settings, including acute cardiac care, hospice, intensive care, and oncology. I am certified in Case Management (CCM) and Care Coordination and Transitional Care (CCCTM). My psychiatric experience includes both inpatient and outpatient settings.
I have worked as a CCM for most of my career to achieve holistic client well-being by advocating for their needs, and coordinating benefits and care while ensuring cost-effective services. My career has been devoted to organizing, facilitating, and evaluating care options to best meet an individual’s medical, mental, physical, and emotional health for the most complex situations.
Additionally, my skills as a CCTM brings ensuring seamless care transitions and promote access to appropriate healthcare.
Through my experience in nursing practice, I have noticed that behavioral and emotional wellness has played a significant part in those dealing with physical health issues. I then understood that it is difficult to get well physically without caring for yourself emotionally and spiritually. Our body, mind, and spirit are not mutually exclusive, and each impacts the other. It became evident that mental health services were needed in this ever-changing world, and I had a strong desire to make a difference and returned to school accordingly.
I obtained my Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University and have been Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) – Across the Age Span. As a PMHNP-BC, I am nationally board-certified to provide psychiatric care for patients with mental health issues across their lifespan. I have a passion for mood disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I provide assessment, diagnosis, planning, and ongoing evaluation. If you are in need of a one-time consultation for Psychiatric clearance for surgery I am happy to work with you.
I am licensed in the State of New Hampshire and see patients virtually and in person call today to schedule a visit that works for your schedule.
It is important to note, that I do not prescribe narcotics.
